Daniel Pinder - January Update
Well the show is now a dogs whisker away and as I sit here typing my final blog for the 2018 Executive Hire Show it’s Sunday 4th February 2018 and I’ve just received my artic load delivery for the stand of ALTRAD Belle (stand D55!!) here at the Ricoh Arena.
This last week has been hectic to say the least visiting as many passionate hirers as possible, promoting attendance at our industries number 1 event.
I’ve called on customers from Hampshire up to Buckinghamshire, with many getting ready their plans for visiting the show, using the useful show-pack, which included the exhibitor hall plan. Don’t worry if this has been misplaced – it’s all on the website!
Russell Wild, Branch Manager of Beaver Tool Hire in Chichester will be visiting the show, with a number of other colleagues from around the company – indeed they even draw lots to see who can attend some years! Russell likes the show to catch up with the latest innovations and new products as well as catching up with suppliers.
Gary Thomson, who is the Branch Manager of Altis Tool Hire’s Lindford depot will be attending the show with the objective of looking for any niche products which could integrate into his range. He’ll be attending with his MD Oliver Kemp.
With his usual team, Darrell Newell of Mark One Hire will be in attendance too. It’s a great opportunity to see new products and also new developments on existing products.
A lot of the hirers I have visited, and there has been a lot, have had a lot of confidence in the market place, and were not deterred by the sad loss of Carillion. This is reflected by the fact that there will be a lot of hirers taking advantage of ‘Show only deals’ for fleet additions and replenishments.
I look forward to seeing you all there!!
